Valentine’s Day 2012: Prepare for the Cuteness
The graphic says it all!
This Wednesday I will be releasing 6 new greeting cards.
It is our first ever Valentine’s Day release.
I am very happy with all of them and I think you’ll enjoy them too.
All the cards are hand printed, cut and scored.
This time around, I will have 2 size options as well.
I will also be selling some of the art as prints.
Keep your eyes peeled for Wednesday, and spread the word!
Prepare for the cuteness.

2011: A Year in Review
2011 was an amazing year. It was a roller-coaster ride for sure.
Ups, downs, twists, turns…you name it, we weathered it and made our best year yet!
THE GOOD
Some Highlights from 2011:
- Fresh Prints sold the most shirts in 2011 than in all the years combined since our “launch” in 2007/2008.
- Fresh Prints participated in more festivals this year than ever, including our return to The Bamboozle and making our debut at Renegade Craft.
- We nearly sold out of any shirt released in 2011.
- Manny Bananny was featured in Alternative Press Magazine.
- We teamed up with Freshly Drawn and Draw Limited at several events and worked with great artists like Vanna, A Loss for Words and Within the Ruins.
- Our twitter/facebook fanbase keeps growing.
- I launched the Daily Doodle projects, nearly tripling our web traffic.
- Most importantly: I have earned the trust and repeat business of several regular customers. I thank and love each and every one of you. Several of you have bought something from every release I have had.
I am and forever will be grateful for your support.
Also in 2011:
Throughout the year Fresh Prints have been featured on several blogs and participated in many contests. These blogs, especially TeeGazette, have helped in tremendous ways to build our fanbase. I am so happy that the Fresh Prints brand is starting to get out there. I have seen this project grow with each new year under it’s belt, and it gets more exciting with each year.
THE BAD
Bummer Time
With all the positivity, the negative usually follows. 2011 certainly came with its nose dives.
- Personal and professional relationships were tried and tested.
- Workloads and stress levels took their toll.
- Designs and Ideas were ripped off, Others were made fun of.
- Professionals stood us up at high profile festivals.
But at the end of the day, we made it through.
Our tiny turds were polished and in 2012 I will turn these into golden nuggets.
This brand is my passion, and the tough lessons are the best to learn from.
THE FUTURE
With the good, the bad, and the tiny turds behind us, I can’t wait to dive into the rest of 2012. I have so many plans and I don’t even know where to start. Keep an eye out for many things from Fresh Prints this year. Last year we participated in 12 fairs/festivals. As of today I already have 16 booked for 2012, and I’ve only just begun booking.
Soon you will see:
- An updated web site.
- A branding system that finally fits the brand.
- Several clothing releases.
- Many more art prints and doodle projects.
- Many new types of products (accessories, home decor, plushies, etc.).
- Many, many new characters.
- Our first fully illustrated story book.
I want to thank you all for being a part of this. Even if you have never purchased anything, just reading this blog is helping to spread our name. Fresh Prints is supposed to be fun. “Keep Fashion Fun” as I like to say. Fresh Prints is for people who don’t take things too seriously (or a mini escape for those who do).
Sometimes we need to step back and realize life is not that complicated. And sometimes it takes a Cowboy Pickle to get us there!
Everyone that has ever had any part (good or bad) in Fresh Prints…you are the driving force behind this project. I could easily give it up and go on vacation more often, but I love doing what I do. I love putting this line out there, and I’m excited to see it grow in 2012 and beyond.
Love you all.

Dino Club: Daily Doodle
Today I decided to do a special daily doodle.
My friend Jayce just put out his new record “Look at Meow” on itunes this week.
As a small business owner, you have probably heard me refer to the term “Shop Indie”.
Well, now is your chance! Jayce just dropped the album
on his personal label (which i developed the logo), Tin and Lint Records.
This is my ode to a new Dino Club album,
which you can buy on itunes for only 9.99!
The Twelve Doodles of Freshmas

Who doesn’t love a nice thick milkshake?
Even better, who doesn’t love a milkshake who also loves itself?

Goats are interesting creatures.
They are even more interesting than when they grow facial fur.
Now, I don’t know if any other goats actually do grow a ‘stache,
but I did have a music teacher in Middle School who had what we called a Goat Beard.
It was orange.
Therefore, Goats must have beards.

Wednesday may come as a good day for some, yet a bad day for others.
Regardless, Wednesday is hump day…smack dab in the middle of my week.
Yee-haw.
Unfortunately for Wendy, this Wednesday is not so wonderful..
Our dear friend Wendy forgot to shave her whiskers this particular Wednesday.
I guess it’s safe to say…
there will be no humping on this hump day for Wendy and her Whiskers.
